This is assuming of course that they're interested in you. Most schools indicate that acceptance/rejection letters will be sent out in March/April, but I figure if they are interested they will call you in for an interview before this time.

Not all graduate programs hold interviews.

If the programs in which you are interested do hold interviews, they will do so well before the April 15 guideline for final notifications.

(This guideline is set by the Council of Graduate Schools, and therefore most graduate programs abide by it, and notify candidates of acceptance or rejection before April 15.)

I didn't have to interview for any of the schools that accepted me. I started hearing from schools in early March.

why don't you call the department to which you are applying. they will have these sorts of answers for you. just call the school's main number and ask to speak to an administrative assistant in the graduate english/history/biology/etc. department (depending on your dept). in my experience, most graduate school departments do NOT do interviews; they just send out the acceptance/rejection letters, and then they'll talk to you (if you're excepted). i'm sure this varies by school. good luck!

you may call and ask. yet you do not inevitably get an interview purely considering which you turn in an application. in case you get one interview for each 5 or 10 purposes, you're doing properly. solid luck.
