I paid for a legal service, now that I have paid they are not responding to my calls. I was told it was going to be an easy task after I paid. Now they will not respond and pretty put my case on the back burner. What can I do about this I am frustrated,

You definitely need to find someone else to handle this for you if they are not responding. Go to another lawyer and ask them to help you with the service you need, and to get your money back from the first lawyer as one of the other people answering suggested. You also can call the State Bar Grievance Committee and lodge a complaint with them. They also may be able to refer you to another lawyer that will help you. Good luck to you.

Simple, hire another Firm to take their place. Once you have given the task to another Firm and explained the reason, the Firm or Attorney that you hire will write a letter to the Firm that did not do the work and ask for your money back.

Seek out a public defender, tell what him/her what happened and sue them.
