Abercrombie and Fitch (the parent store) owns three more concept stores which are...

Ruehl No.925 (the newest of the stores)
Hollister Co.
and
Abercrombie Kids (which is the most related to Abercrombie, but for a younger demographic)

In all reality, yes, Hollister is similar to Abercrombie since they're both based out of Ohio and owned by the same company. However, the two stores are different. The prices, items, etc are different and you can only use gift cards at their respective stores.

BTW, the established date for Hollister is made up. It was really created in 2002. As for Abercrombie and Fitch, it was really established in 1892... as a sporting good store =)

ok well the funny thing is that im just writing a paragraph on english fo rit ...hahahha lol!!!!!! anyways abercrombie owns hollister... abercrombie owns holloister that y there clothes look sooooooooo much alike..but thre a 3 major differences about it ..ok read my eassy ....

You may think that Abercrombie and Hollister are the same stores but they’re not. Even though their clothes may seem alike. The following three reasons explain the differences for these stores. First of all, one of the differences is the money. Hollister’s prices are actually a little bit cheaper then Abercrombie’s. For example, if you go buy a jacket from Abercrombie it will cost you about $60 dollars. If you go buy a jacket from Hollister it will be probably about $40. The second difference is that Hollister and Abercrombie sell different types of clothes. Abercrombie is more of a trendy, classy and expensive type of store as for Hollister which has a more relaxed style. If you like trendy, classy or expensive clothes then you should go to Abercrombie and if you like more of a relaxed style then go to Hollister. Finally, the last difference is that these two stores were made to imitate the styles for east and the west coast. For the east coast they made Abercrombie and in the west coast they made Hollister. So as you can see these two stores are very different from each other.

ok so this is my eassay i hop ehtis helps!!!!!!!!!!!

My understanding is that they're owned by the same company. According to Wikipedia, they're considered to be different brands that are produced by the same company: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollister_Co.

It's kind of the same deal as how Old Navy, Bannana Republic, and Gap are all part of the same company, except there's more difference between those three than between Hollister and A&F.

ummmm ... duh like nooooo like even the est. dates r different like Hollister's is 1922 and A&F'S is 1892.... they were also est. by different ppl. u know that right??? cause Hollister is a last name and so is Abercombie( irish) then Finch added it's name cause he bought like half - of the the shares

but the thing is that the Q is kinda a trick question b-cause Hollister and Abercombie don't collaberate but Hollister is under Abercombie

anyway ... although they make similar things... teh quaility of Abercombie is a lettle bit betta then Hollister and it's more
x-pensive.... i personally perfer Hollister b-cause some of teh tank tops and graphics r cuter than the more regular and preppy ones @ Abercombie.....
