Because on Sat. i'm goind to a birthday party for a close friend and she's turning 9 and I need gift idea's and no prinsess stuff. She's more machure than most almost 9 year old's and she's in 3rd grade.

I would say a gift certificate for a book store , DVDs, movie passes, jewlery, telephone, scrapbook kit, lip gloss maker, Mary Kate and Ashley perfume, gift certificates for clothing stores at the mall, chocolates.

Gift Certificate to a store like Gap for Kids or a gift basket full of young girl story books, puzzles, candy and DVDs. That'll be fun!

I think this toy called 20Q is pretty cool. Its around $15.
It is a small handheld electronic game, where you think of something, and answer 20 questions, and it almost always, and I mean always, gets the answer right to want you were thinking!

Gift Cards are GREAT! But if you're looking for something more personal then I would suggest considering any hobbies your friend has:
Video Games?
Collections?
Intrests?
If you can think of something your friend is into then go with that.

i always like gifts that mean something... maybe get her a special piece of heirloom jewelery and sit down w her one on one and explain how much it meant to the first person who wore it, and how much you hope it will mean to her one day... id also tell her that its smart to save it for special occasions and just take it out to look at once and a while until she gets older... its something she can keep and remember you by forever.
