The coward resigned.

He knew that by resigning he wouldn't be investigated or prosecuted because once he becomes a private citizen the office he held couldn't go after him.

To be prosecuted charges would have to filed in the state the minor lives in and the family doesn't want to prefer charges.

False, the man resigned. Unlike democrats caught in worse situations, he displayed common sense. FYI the page was over the age of consent.

he resigned and did u see him go to the priest house he said molested him and thats why he did it molested young men but why didnt they say something priest molested foley so he says he foley goes tell priest i forgive u what anybody would admit to that isnt that jailtime. its false he was republican but the best way out was to bow out gracefully

The Republican leadership pretty much forced him to resign from Congress although i suppose he could have switched parties. Then he would have received a standing ovation.
