First you need to consider your age and your medical status before starting on an exercise regime. After that's sorted out, you need to generally start slow and easy. Don't rush and over-exert yourself in the beginning. Your body needs time to adapt and strengthen itself gradually to the exercise, especially if you have never exercised before. But actually if you've walked for at least 20 mins non-stop before, that's also considered an exercise. Maybe you could start off with brisk walking.

I suggest you lose some weight first before getting into the exercise. if losing some pounds of any description is what you want then I used a great website and coach who helped me. They were very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. The website is www.myhealthabc.com once you fill in your details then you can see the full range of products they have. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight, its all nutrition based.
I lost all my weight in less than three months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them, the tips you get and encouragement are excellent (their advice and time is FREE). I am still with them so I stay healthy. If you just want to buy the products and not use the coaching then you can do that aswell, there is a link in there to email them so you can tell them you just want to buy and not speak to anyone. The owners will even advise you via email on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did it this way (she was more self conscious than me) and lost 76 pounds in less than five months. These guys are just great, try them.
Hope this helps, Stephanie

Hi pyro11236!!!

It is never to late to start!!! I've never being a sport myself and I can't run either, but walking really makes the difference!!!!

Just start very slow, and about 20 mints a day. You soon will find out that is NOT going to be enough, especially if you, bring a friendly partner with you and can chat along while walking.

Then will notice the 20 mints. gets longer and longer each time you walk. And as you feel better mentally, emotionally and physically, your weight will come down, having fun!!!

Also this is a great time to meditate, pray, and just enjoy nature itself. I don't suggest you take this time to think about unsolved problems, as this might get you depressed, cutting your breathing in half it's potential.

Go out, on sunny days, on rainy days, breezy evening, early mornings, just go out!!! Rediscover your neighborhood. Invite them to join you, who knows probably by doing this you help some else!!!!

GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE

I think walking is the most natural and safe form of exercise for beginners. Maybe start with 20 minutes 4 days a week?

First thing you should do is to consult your doctor and make sure you are ok to exercise. I have use this plan for the the past six years. You can eat normal pretty much and the exercise is reasonable.
