How do I put this into point-slope and slope-intercept forms?

assuming straight line graph, obviously

y = mx + c is the usual formula for a straight line, c is the point where the line cuts the y-axis, and m is the gradient

since you have m=-5, and you have a set of coordinates on the line (-4, -2), you can find out the value of c

c = y - mx = -2 - (-5 * -4) = -2 -20 = -22

hence graph formula is y = -5x -22

double check by putting the (-4, -2) coordinates into the formula:

y = (-5 * -4) - 22 = 20 - 22 = -2 (correct!)

The answer is: y=-5x+-22

The work:
y=mx+b
y=-5x+b
-2=-5(-4)+b
-2=20+b
-22=b
y=-5x+-22

Have fun grading:)
