I heard from somewhere that you aren't supposed to have sex the night before you go to the doctor for your yearly physical. I don't know if this is true or not. I'm 22 and married, but all the times I went for my Pap, I told my husband that we couldn't have sex because that's what I heard, but I don't even know if it's true...is it?

we are trying to get pregnant, so using a condom would kind of defeat the purpose, but I know we aren't just having sex to make a baby, it's just been so hard to get pregnant (we've been trying for a little over a year) and we really don't like using a condom

Basically you don't want left-over semen obscuring the results of pap smears etc, and being able to see what consistency your natural discharge is (as opposed to hubby's leftovers) is useful too.

It would make sense. I think that if you do have sex the night before, use a condom so you don't have any semen in your vagina.

What's the difference between using a condom that night and not having sex? I know it doesn't feel the same, but sometimes, such things are necessary. Also, try calling your doctor. The receptionist should be able to tell you.

I am sure that it could effect some of the tests your doctor is conducting. Besides do you really want a big glob of man juice dripping out during your exam?
