What about someone who isn't Christian? What about someone who isn't "white"?

Sure. Oddly enough, the first non white may come out of the GOP. I'm don't know right now who it would be, but I don't think a liberal non white has as much chance as a conservative non white. A conservative non white can pull votes from some of the traditional liberal supporters, but a liberal would not gain many votes from traditional conservative circles. As split as the nation is right now he/she may not need to though.

Someone who is not a Christian would probably have to come out of the democratic party and would have a tough row to hoe right now.

Either party could offer up a potential female winner, though my guess is that the first will be a democrat. I just hope that it isn't a former first lady.

If they have the policies that are right, I have no problem with any of them as a President. I've voted against plenty of White Christian Men who were running for President in the past.

Lord I hope so.
I've about had my fill of male, white, Christians, haven't you?
I believe there are plenty of very intelligent women who would make a excellent choice for President. And I have never believed that one must be Christian or White to be considered for the job.
This country is in need of a serious change, maybe 2008 will be our year.

Could a woman or a non-Christian be elected. Probably...

...but none of the current contenders.

Could a non-white win? Probably not, but it's no longer out of the question.

Wouldn't that be awesome!! hmmmmmmm..
that's a tough one, especially with a country like ours....
Conservative, very religious, sorry to say but predominatly white ppl are in higher rankings...
It looks slim..
However I wish it was someone who wasn't white.
i am not racist...but it would be nice to see a minority high up there...
but I would settle for,
a minority man
or any woman in office.

Hilary Clinton will be elected President with Barack Obama as Vice President. Hilary will then be assassinated and we will have our first President of color.

No. 2008 will show more of the same. We will get another Old White Rich Man in office. Too many ignorants still left in the world.
