What schools? Colleges, high school, elementary, trade, etc.? All are very different. I can only speak from my experience and say no. Especially not before college I hardly ever heard my teachers even talk about current political topics, nevermind state an opinion or suggestion on what their students should think. In college, it is a little different. I have had hardcore liberals AND conservatives for professors, and MOST teachers I've had are one or the other but aren't forceful or even very talkative about their personal views. For the most part I've had really respectful and smart professors. There's always a few extremists, but sometimes that makes life interesting, and challenges or strengthens ones own beliefs. To say most teachers are liberal is kind of a fallacy...I'd say from what I know and what I assume about 55% of my teachers have been Democrat, 40% Republican, and 5% falling in another party or on the extreme sides of liberal or conservative.

PS, Why blame liberals if you see this to be a problem? Get on conservatives and tell more of them to be teachers!!!

It depends. I would still say that most schools are still way conservative in their point of view of things. CNN, and fox news and other media outlets will try to make it seem like everything is tilted and slanted and bad in the public schools. I think schools should teach both sides and let the students(college) decide what best fits their beliefs. I would be naive to think that people dont have an agenda, but i still think that most of america as a whole is mostly conservative.(at least right now)

It all depends on the teacher, most teachers play it safe and try to avoid politics in a classroom, but some classes teachers allow healthy debates between students without representing and bias, but in some situations there are very opionated teaches who have a hard time holding back from pushing their personal opions on students, its mostly in colleges that events like this happen, in a case like that it would probally be wiser to not say anthing to the teacher because he or she could have an effect on your grade

I started to answer your question on point then I thought, why. Will my opinion actually change your mind? Did you ask this question in an attempt to have your thoughts changed? Or, did you just ask this question to air your political views? I am going to assume the later. My prediction is you will choose an answer that mostly aligns with your view point, no matter how truthful.

I think it depends on the area of the country and how committed the teachers are to inculcating their beliefs. I've had teachers all over the political map.
