It's easy to get caught up in all the gossip

I have found that people would rather believe a negative over a positive. It shouldn't matter if someone doesn't believe in what you say but hurts nonetheless. Friends need to support other friends. If they don't I say move on. There are lots of people in the world. Create the support system you want and deserve. Don't settle for less!

A friend once told me--- People will believe a lie before they believe the truth. Why? Well, he said that normally lies are more believable because most of us live our life based on lies. Truth seems so unreal.

Does that make sense?

I went throught the same thing for a while...even though my friends knew I didnt lie, they still believed rumors. Give your friends an ultimatum you should tell them that you havent lied and if they dont believe you that they arent really your friends

Because people tend to like juicy gossip more than the actual truth, which is pretty sad. Anyway, they must not have been your friends in the first place to take someone else's word over yours, unless you have lied to them before, so therefore you lost that thing you call trust.

Besides that I wouldn't know, WHAT DID YOU DO?

If you are defending yourself then they probably realize that you have a natural bias to lie in a situation that is protecting your reputation. You don't have much credibility when you are defending yourself because no one wants to admit fault. You should also talk to them and ask them why.

because girls are caddy and feel that if they go along with "others" that they will be liked more! it's sad, but it never ends! just make sure you let your "friend" know that what's being said is not true and if she is your friend she would stand up for you

Because you have lied to them in the past? Because they are stupid? Without any other information it's hard to say.
