No, never! Why would you want to allow your child to put themselves in that situation? I wouldn't allow it because of the world we live in today and all the crimes that have been committed through Internet-interactions...that could have been prevented if only the child did not release their real names, addresses, school names, and anything else that can be traced back to where the child lives. So, "NO" because for the sake and concern of my child's safety. :)

No, I did not. There are too many weird people in this world. I wanted my children to learn to use the internet but I also wanted them to feel safe.

They could not use their real name, tell their ages, or give any information about the town where we live or their school. There were other limits, but that's enough for this space.

Mine taught herself this by 8, there are no end of bullies in cyber space, young kids can't know that these bullies wouldn't say Bo to a goose in real life.

no, not even initials - i don't want anyone to know anything about my kids unless i know who they are and have some control over the situation. they only even has access to a couple of game sites with no chat or only pull down menu chat.
