My one great passion is to do nice things or good deeds for others with out being asked.
I know that there is good in everyone and I feel that all the things that I do will slowly bring out the good in others and that it will catch on.

I feel so strongly about it that my loved ones know that when I die there is to be a notice in the paper saying no flowers at my funeral and that if anyone wants to do something in memory of me to do one nice/kind thing for someone and ask that person to remember it and do the same for another some day.

I don't know if I can call it a passion or an obsession, but I have spent the last 11 years searching and writing about my ancestors.

I felt a stong need to know about my roots and where my people came from.

I knew my great grandfathers name and that he came from England and the other great grandfather was born in Tennessee.

I began to search on the Internet and found almost everything I wanted to know about them.

I found birth certificates and death certificates. I found them on the census and who their children were and traced the name of the ship that the England gg father sailed to America on along with the ships log. He was a Hatter in Danbury Conn. (you have heard of the Mad Hatters of Danbury. They called them that because the industry of making hats used mercury to work with the animal pelts.)

I have written 500 pages on his history along with 60 pages of photos. I have written 250 pages on the Tennessee gg father. I have written my fathers and my history.

I have a wall of pictures of my ancestors and descendents.

I have this strong desire to leave a legacy to my posterity. I also have this thing where I want everyone I know to do the same.

So now I want to leave you with the desire to do the same. I want to share this poem with you and maybe inspire you with a new passion.

Strangers In The Box
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like,
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, or when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be passed away?
Make time to save your stories,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

THE TRUTH. I stand by it 85 percent. I lie at times, as we all do. The truth is the only way to go. That way there is no question. Or wondering. Especially when it comes to relationships, any kind for that matter. Id rather be in the know. Always no matter how much it hurts me.

i feel strongly that God is invisible to too many when he should be visible by their faith in him, even tho we cannot see him with the eye today. we can see what he has created ,including ourselves. This should be enough to convivce most that he is, so refer to hebrews 11 :6
