I do not believe we live in an immoral society.

Our society has laws which reflect moral beliefs (no stealing, no murder, limited sexual behavior) and most people in our society go beyond these laws (tipping waitresses even though is not required, contributing to churches, helping strangers in need, staying faithful to spouses.)

When people in our society, or the society in general does immoral things, we attempt to correct it. We fine, jail, and execute criminals in an attempt to both protect the innocent and to punish the evil doer.

Our country has given reparations in some cases of discrimination and social injustice, and other reparations have been debated.

Looking at the other answers, I think people err by assuming that immoral actions by some members of society condemn the society at large.

But Awareness of immorality, and having a desire to correct it seems more moral than immoral.

Yes. All you have to do is turn on the TV, listen to the radio, look at billboards or magazine advertisements and you will see provocative behavior and attitude being promoted as the "in" thing. I for one am tired of all the negative effects this has had on our society.

You have to be totally blind and deaf and not know what is going on in the world to not think so. Everything that can be imagined is now being done and accepted as normal when it would have been deemed as lunacy even 40 years ago.
