Pregnant women tend to get nose bleeds quite often. Usually its not until you're farther along and have 50% more blood in your body than usual. But in some cases the hormones are enough to bring them on.

Also deficiencies in vitamins and things like that can cause them as all, which is common since your body is using up so much more. Calcium, vitamin c, and iron deficiencies can all or together make it more likely for you to get nose bleeds.

I doubt they'd be related to high blood pressure at this point, since you would have had that before you got pregnant, and already known about it, because this is so early in your pregnancy.

Also, just having a cold coming on, or being out in cold weather can give you nose bleeds. So can being a little dehydrated on top of it all.

Drink a lot of water, take a prenatal, and ask your OB about it at your next visit.

Try some saline nose spray. Nosebleeds are caused by the nasal mucosa being dry. It is common to have stuffy noses and nose bleeds while pregnant due to hormonal fluctuations.

This is completely common. Pregnancy sometimes causes the blood vessels in your nose to expand which increases the blood supply puts more pressure which can cause them to rupture more easily.

I never had a nosebleed in my entre life before I got pregnant. After I got pregnant, I got at least a dozen of them. Of course, you should talk to your doctor. He/She can give you the best answers to all your questions and will be best suited to put any of your fears at ease.

When you're pregnant your blood volume increases, which often raises your blood pressure. This is normal and is not something to worry about, but the slight elevation in your blood pressure and/or volume may cause you to get some nosebleeds until your body adjusts. I got a couple of nosebleeds early in my second trimester, but it wasn't a big deal. If your blood pressure gets high enough to be a concern, your doctor will probably tell you to eat less sodium.

Nosebleeds and nasal stuffiness are normal during pregnancy. The increased amount of hormones causes the mucous membranes to soften and swell. Your nosebleed may have been caused by the dry air of your heat, which will dry the nasal passages. Try using a humidifier to overcome the dryness.
