Oh, yeah. The word may mostly be used by black people, but the practice cuts across all cultures. I'd recommend honesty instead.

Yes. Down-low was a term coined by black, and/or urban men that consider themselves straight, and seemingly live straight lives with women, but have sex with males on the "down-low". Down-low, same sex attraction, open-minded, gay, bi, curious, promiscuous, etc...call it WHATEVER you want, but its pretty much the same thing. If a white guy was married with kids and seemed very masculine and said he was straight, but then slept with men on the side, I would say he's down-low, I'd say he's secretly gay, I'd say he's a deceptive person who needs serious help- its all the same thing! Just different language.

Of course. Any man of any color can be on the down low, just like women can be on the down low. There's really no difference in it besides the color of the skin.

Why couldn't they be? Anyone can be on the down low if they knew how to and race has nothing to do with it.

"Down Low" means having sex with the same gender (gay sex) while pretending to be straight.

Race has no exclusivity on delusion.

Of course, it is simply not as stigmatized in the white culture as it is in the black culture. Blacks don't beleive any blacks are gay, commit suicide or become serial killers. Not especially realistic.
