WITH A BAR (IN THEORY) IT IS SIMPLE MATHS, GET BARRELS OF BEER /WINE ETC IN, AND SELL THEM AT A PROFIT, A PROFIT THAT JUSTIFIES YOU OPERATING. ALSO REMEMBER THAT YOU NEED CLEANERS TO KEEP IT CLEAN AND CHEFS AND WAITER'S IF YOU WANT TO DO FOOD. ALSO BOUNCERS FEES, RENT TO THE BREWERY, COUNCIL TAX (A RIP OFF BUSINESS RATE) AND THE USUAL LIABILITY INSURANCE, REQUIRED BY LAW!! BASICALLY THE GOVERNMENT IS GOING TO SCREW YOU!!

CINEMA IS TOUGH, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CATCHMENT AREA, THEY COST LOADS TO ERECT!! OUR SMALL 2 SCREEN CINEMA CLOSED IN BANGOR RECENTLY, DESPITE A HUGE STUDENT POPULATION IN THIS CITY, DUE TO THE FACT THAT PEOPLE GO 20 MILES AWAY TO A 20 SCREEN CINEMA, WITH PIZZAHUT, MCDONALDS, KFC ETC, THERE IS NO CONTEST, ITS MODERN, FRESH WITH AN AMUSEMENT ARCADE ETC!!

lots and lots of time money, more money, and yep more money. Depends on your area and if they are issuing any more liquor licenses. There may not be for your area---- and they can run into hundreds of thousands to buy one. Same with the Cinema, the cost of the equipment can start at 250k and go up--not including the cost to rent the movies--and the bond to post for the worth of each movie copy.
