Yes it can, and i agree with the person who said it will be a spiritual (NOT religious) occurance. I personally believe the spiritual answer to humanity's problems are and have always been in motion. The hardest concept to grasp is that all of the "problems" humanity faces today, was all neccessary to the spiritual world vision that some of us actively hold. It's a long explanation that does have to be understood from within. The first steps are realizing that there is a real energy within all things and beings...and that we fight for this energy among eachother. Even though we aren't aware of it, for most it's a subconcious struggle. Humanity's problems will start being "taken care of" when a critical mass of our world population learns how to gain there energy from the Divine source, instead of subconciously trying to take it from other people. WHEN more and more people are able to physically see these real energy fields that go through all people and things, deception and negative intentions become visible in this energy field. Put the mystery back into your own personal lives and ACTIVELY pursue spiritual truth!
I may not be able to word it in a way it can be easily understood, So if you want more literature on this subject and think for any reason that a little of what i've said makes sence...Go out and pick up a copy of James Redfields "The Celestine Prophecy" It might just crystalize all your questions about humanity and where we are headed.

You are asking a question that has been asked many, many times, and it's not one that's easy to answer. The first question is easy: Yes. The second question...not so easy, is it. There are infinite ways that humanity's problems could be solved, and all of them have a plethora of steps included. Unless humanity is blessed with divine inspiration, the answer to solving humanity's problems lies squarely within ourselves. It is our human nature to be greedy, to be hateful, to be ambitious to the tipping point, to be jealous, to be evil. Of course, not everyone is like this, but there are enough people in the world who allow these traits to rule their lives, to make the world a very unhappy place indeed. It is also in human nature to be kind, to be caring, to be helpful, to be understanding, to be human. But many times, these traits alone aren't enough to make things right. It is impossible to solve humanity's problems, by making all our vices disappear, because first, this would be extremely difficult, and second, because we would not be quite human, without them, terrible as they are. The only way to even begin to solve humanity's problems, is to start with the little things. Turn off a lightbulb...and help stop global warming. Give to the poor...and help decrease the number of people dying of starvation. Smile at someone you dislike...and help make the hatred in the world a little less. Maybe humanity's problems will never be solved completely, but we can start, and we can try. We are the source of all our problems, after all, so we owe ourselves that much.

Yes. By enough individuals focusing only on the positive and giving no energy to anything that would be called a problem. Focusing on what you do not want - whether being for it or against it - only creates more of that thing.
The solution is to focus on the end result you truly desire as though you already have it. Although many may argue that they do this, the way they are going about it does not have the desired effect. Here are some examples:
Focusing on getting out of debt only creates more debt. Better to focus on creating abundance or monetary wealth instead.
Being anti-war creates more war. Instead, we must focus on peace. Mother Teresa knew this. She refused to attend anti-war rallies but said if anyone had a pro-peace rally to invite her.
Putting your energy on starvation creates more hunger in the World. Instead, focus on ways to provide healthy food to anyone and be grateful for that abundance and there will be more food for all.
Instead of feeling sorry that some people were dying due to the lack of clean water, a 6yo boy named Ryan focused on earning money to build one well. What he started has provided water for almost half a million people in 12 countries. If a 6yo can do this what could all of us create if we focused on good instead of "problems"?
Each of us, including you, could be the next Ryan or Mother Teresa or Gandhi. To get started I highly recommend watching the movie The Secret. I have provided a link to a site where you can watch it online or buy the DVD.

Yes, but it will be a spiritual (NOT religious) solution. Not one that can be invented in this physical world, but one that must be sought from within and from our connection with the "All That Is" (aka God).
