I had to sleep in a recliner to help with heartburn and take tums as for the hair thing that was mentioned that isn't always so I've had 4 and it was 2 with and 2 without hair and who knows with this one hopefully it wont be much longer for you though my sister went 3 weeks past her due date one way you could check is to go to labor and delivery and complain of pain and they will check you for sure.

Have you expelled your mucous plug yet? You should start to have this thick drainage coming out of you that gets a bloody tinge to it when it is almost all out. This is a sign that you are about to go into labor. As for the heartburn, lay on your left side (closes some esophageal paths) and eat some tums. I've heard that heartburn indicates a full head of hair on your baby.

When I was pregnant with my son I had heartburn from 7 months on. I drank a lot of Mylanta.
Don't worry about the doctor checking your dilation. He would only need to check it if he was concerned about it. When you go into labor that is when they are concerned about the dilation.
When your in labor (most of the time) you will know it.
Your lower pelvic area, front and back will ache and you will feel like you need to have a bowel movement. Just because it was predicted you are due in 10 days doesn't mean you will have the baby in 10 days. They are getting better at predicting the date but it is still left to your body and the baby when it is time.

My doctor told me to take pepcid or zantac with all my kids. They helped but mine was/is so bad I've been taking nexium but you are almost done with your pregnancy and a prescription might be more of a hassle now. I am pregnant with number three and have had extreme heartburn with all three and so far all have had full heads of hair at birth. If you are really in a hurry to have the baby soon then you should try some at home labor inducers.

Unless you have any other symptoms nothing is going on yet, Your dr. should be doing weekly exams now to watch the babies progress then he'll start giving you updates about how far down the baby has dropped and if your thining out at all ( a good sign labor will be soon) so at your next visit ask him to check if he doesn't do it himself and for the heartburn try sleeping on the couch it worked for me and stay away from dairy products they seem to make it worse.

Early signs can happen three weeks or three seconds before labor. Don't sweat it -- you will not be pregnant forever!!!!! Normal is anywhere between 38 and 42 weeks -- you've got time, even though you want that baby out now! I was fond of saying, "The last two weeks of pregnancy are the longest two months of my life!"

I thought heartburn just meant that the baby has a lot of hair. I would still tell the doctor to check if I were you; you're the one who's pregnant and paying the doctor so if you're concerned he or she needs to check things out to alleviate that.

Yes, your Dr should be checking you by now. I would say something. You will know when labor kicks in. When your stomach starts tensing up and you have contractions. You will know. Also, if your water breaks.

There is really now ay to tell without a doctor... Unless the obvious happens. Water breaks or mucus plug passes. Sorry...
