That question has been haunting the back of my mind lately. I have found enough darkness to suit me for the night in "Forever Odd" by Dean Koontz, but I doubt I'll put the book down now... It's just getting to the most interesting part!

And yes, I will be thanking light for once again embracing me... And yes, I know that this question inspires more questions and different answers. Take the question any way you like, but it was inspired by a book I once read. I can't remember the name, but I think it was the short story The Mist by Stephen King.

I just love the Sun - it makes me feel just how small I really am and also the beauty that God has allowed us to see.

I've not read any of Koontz' novels in a long time... i need to, i think, sounds like i am missing out
i have thanked the sun for rising, different occasions:
working night shift, i was always happy to see daylight, ment it was time to go home
all night party, when morning finally comes and the party is over, time to sleep it off
while tent camping and sleeping on a rock, even though there wasn't much rest, i was still happy to get off the rock

yes i have....

i won't tell you why.

i have nothing against darkness. i love the moon and stars. but its not the same.... sometimes it feels like something will last forever, and then when you blink, it's gone. during the day you can forget about it... all by yourself in the dark, there's nothing to do but think about it... and who ever wasted the dark by sleeping????? but sometimes its the opposite, and you know everything will be okay, eventually, but you're stuck in right now.... and problems are easier to face by sunlight, i don't know why... perhaps because its warmer and warmth is comforting.

No, but I sleep in until around 11 or 12 most of the time... I will if I get up at sunrise for you!

Yes I do. I gain my energy from the sun. I find my peace in finding the sun warm my face. I actually get depressed in the colder months so my energy levels sky rocket during the warmer months.

No I haven't because I don't think it will hear me anyway, being billions of miles away, and not being anything but a ball of fire.
