I've had a total hysterectomy, and this is what my Dr told me, that every two years you should be checked. Cancer is not so much a threat in that area since all has been removed, presuming you have had your uterous, ovaries, and cervic removed.

Hi Patricia!!!

YES!!!! Having a total hysterectomy, if you still have enough of vaginal conduct, is important, a check-up for cancer, every year!!!!! And also for other infections or sexual trans transmitted diseases.

Check with your doctor and discuss all your concerns.
