Don't worry about the metal and the paint, but give your door locks a generous shot of water-displacing silicone such as WD-40, and cover your glass with cardboard. If you have a dedicated car cover, that would be best of all.

a duvet cover with a water proof shee over it hell to take off but good at defending against the sand blast effect of hail stones
