Everyone wears American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, and Aeropostale all the time. They really judge you by what you wear, and I can't afford that stuff. What are places where you can get clothes similar to the ones at those stores and look stylish while still paying 10 bucks for a shirt?

Walmart. Seriously. I know how you feel. Just go shopping everywhere where its cheap and look for something different. I go to Walmart for a lot of my clothes and guess what? People ask me where i got my clothes and say they like them. It's all because its different. If you try to get a ripoff of something that looks like something else, it'll look kind of cheap. You don't really have to wear what everyone wears. Find a style of your own and love it!

Wal-Mart is offering some cute clothes for a little price. They increase the style of the clothes, i went there a month ago, and i saw some adorable tops, very stylish. The price is affordable, maybe 15 $ for a jeans, 10-12 for a shirt.

Otherwise, the sales. In AE, Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale, etc., and at this time of the year, there is always something on sale. Between two seasons too. So, go often in these shops, and you will finally find something you like, but not expensive !

Good luck !

Aeropostale is really cheap actually, Platos closet is okay but sometimes a rip off, but if you really want to get stuff from A&F and Hollister waaay cheaper go there. American Eagle's clearance usually get's really cheap also. I can get shirts for $5 sometimes there! Aeropostale would be the cheapest though. Target has similar clothes to A&F and Hollister except way cheaper. I know how you feel! I don't usually shop at A&F though, Hollister is the cheaper and nicer, cuter brand and more popular now, if you want to waste your money waste it there!

My parents weren't rich but I was kind of an only child. When I was in high school my older brother were well into there 20's and 30's so my parents didn't buy for them anymore. It was just me. I never worked either. I just always cleaned the house, helped at my grandparents house, and stayed out of trouble so when I wanted new clothes, which wasn't all the time, they didn't object.

Try shopping at resale shops. I wear all name brand, nice clothing and pay much less that half price. For instance I wear nothing but Lucky jeans and only pay 15-30 dollars a pair instead of 90+ a pair. I have a darling Abercrombie sweatshirt that I paid 6 bucks for. You will have to take a little time to look through the junk to find the bargains but they are out there. Good luck.

ALL of my clothes are from Aeropostale, and I have a lot of clothes. I've never paid more than $10 for something there, and that was for a pair of pants. You can get cheap things there. As for AE, Hollister, and Abercrombie. Sorry, can't help ya there. But you can make cute outfits with even Wal-Mart clothes.

you know i understand what you mean because where i come from everyone has money and no one 'cant' afford name and designer brands... thus, kids who dont dress as well as the rest of us get looked down upon. Im not sure what you have in your town but around here we have places like 'Platos Closet' that sell slightly used clothes for cheap prices. You can find used clothes for less from a lot of those stores you listed. And keep on the lookout for sales at Hollister etc., because a lot of times they have shirts for 10 or 15 dollars.

well, i would definitely start in tj maxx or marshalls, because they can have excellent clothes there. (sometimes the quality isnt quite as nice) but i entirely understand, because i do think the clothes is overpriced. if tj maxx and marshalls arn't working for you, try plato's closet. its awesome, but a lot of used clothes, which isnt much of a problem. the way that i REALLY get a lot of my clothes, all brand names like aeropostale, american eagle, wet seal, etc... SALES!!!! lol well right now, i know wet seal is having a sale, 2-5$$ a shirt! awesome right? i know that if you can catch them at a good time (such as now) you can get a lot of the clothes for a fraction of the cost! lol ( i know i sound kinda like an ad, but its ENTIRELY true!) i usually get a bunch of clothes at sales and use them over the year, occasional extras once in a while cause its fun! : )

Ebay, Gabriell Brothers, Outlet stores, Goodwill, Yard sales, flea markets.

You would be amazed at what you can find in second hand shops and outlets. You do have to dig. I like nice clothes but can't afford them either I tend to buy end of season clearance items, and shop outlets and Ebay. The stuff you buy may be last years hot item but good clothes rarely go out of style. Go for more classic pieces and if that doesn't work for you go totally ecclectic vintage. Wear what makes you happy.
