Most laptops have a headphones port where you can plug in better PC speakers.

Laptop speakers generally aren't something to brag about, as they have both limited power (unless you want to drain your battery twice as fast) and limited space to work with. For home use, just get a set of basic amplified desktop speakers if you generally use your laptop in the same location. Otherwise, you can get better clarity using a good set of headphones while travelling or using it as a portable computer within your own home.
