The government sealed off New Orleans and prevented civilian volunteers and the Red Cross from entering to help - due to false racist propaganda stories about violent Black people rampaging through the city.

Once the feds came, Black refugees were treated like criminals and forcibly dispersed across the South. To this day, 50% of New Orleans' population have been prevented from returning.

The motive is clearly racial - a 60% Black city is now 75% White.

And there's lots of blame to go around - Mayor Nagin, Governor Blanco and President Bush are all responsible, as well as the politically connected contractors who so poorly maintained the leeves in the first place.

As for Iraq, America invaded that country to control it's oil, and prevent Iraq from selling it's oil on the open market to America's main economic rival in the world - China.

They didn't give a damn about the Iraqi people, or the fact that Iraq was a police state dictatorship. In fact, Iraq is STILL a dictatorship - except now it's a badly run American controlled dictatorship, rather than a brutal but more or less efficient Iraqi dictatorship. The average Iraqi was better off under Saddam's tyranny - they had no freedom, but they didn't get murdered in the streets by the dozens every day, as they do now.

Kinda connected. Hurricane Katrina was probably summoned by those angry souls of men, women and children killed in US-led wars.
