Now married for two years my wife mentioned about an affair she had before I met her. Initially I thought awell it is all in the past but she said the affair lasted for over two years. I have noticed she can be very conservative and not being open with herself. I just wonder how such an relationship has an affect on her as she has lied on several issues with me before.

The reason I wonder is because I received a call from close friends on mine and they said she is having an affair with an assumingly cousin who is living with us. My wife has confronted me as not being true and I do beleive her but I feel some doubt because of her past

What she did before she met you is really none of your business. You fell in love with a woman who was shaped by her past. Therefore, her past made her the type of woman that you love.

The past will always affect the future. That's why no one knows what will happen in the future because if the world knew, then the world wouldn't be doing a lot of things now.
If a person lie too you, then move on. They don't care. Basically when you're living in this world, it's all women and men for them selves.

If you think your wife is still in love with this other guys she had a relationship earlier ago. What you should do is, do something to make her totally forget about the affairs she had recently, and make her totally and truly in love with you and ONLY you. Patience is needed, don't force her too hard.

everyone is affected by their past. Everyone and everything that touches our lives shape the person we become. I am sure that there are things that happened in your past that you wouldn't want your wife to hold against you. So things that happened to your wife before you got involved with her should not be held against her. You fell in love with the person that those experiences shaped. Unless she gives you a reason not to trust her by her actions now then I would say to you, let go of the past so you can live and enjoy your life now. If the "cousin" is a source of concern, give him a date to find his own apartment and stick to it.

Past relationships serve an extremely important part in determining how we will behave in future relationships. They are lessons, and it's important for us to learn from them.
If your wife has lied on several issues, you need to find out why. Was she protecting her butt? What was she hiding? Personally, I wouldn't live with a liar because I wouldn't truly know the person I lived with.

all relationships have an affect on you, because the experience makes you into the person you are. You must learn to filter out the good from the bad and draw on the good. and not hold others responsible for the bad.
