Let

h = height of plane
x = distance from Frida to point on ground directly beneath plane
626 - x = distance from Agneatha to point on ground directly beneath plane

tan 63° = h/x
tan 36° = h/(626 - x)

Solve each equation for x.

x = h/tan 63°
626 - x = h/tan 36°
x = 626 - h/tan 36°

Set the two equations of x equal.

h/tan 63° = 626 - h/tan 36°
h/tan 63° + h/tan 36° = 626
h(1/tan 63° + 1/tan 36°) = 626
h = 626/(1/tan 63° + 1/tan 36°)
h = 626/(cot 63° + cot 36°) ≈ 331.93571 meters

Draw a triangle FAP with angle AFP = 63 degrees,
angle FAP = 36 degrees and the length of FA is 626m

Now draw a line from P perpendicular to FA at G. Then PG is the height of the plane.

Now PF/FG = tan 63 so PG = FGtan63
But also PF/GA = tan36 so PG = GA tan36
Thus FGtan63=GAtan36 since they both = PG
But FG + GA = 626, so FG =626 -GA. Use this value in above
equation to get:
(626 - GA)tan63 = GAtan36
626tan63 - GAtan63 =GAtan36
626tan63 = GAtan36+GAtan63
626tan63 = GA(tan36 + tan63)
GA = 626tan63/(tan36 + tan63)
Since PG =GAtan36 we finally have:
PG = 626tan63tan36/(tan36+tan63)
So just plug in tan36= 0.7265 and tan 63 = 1.963 and you have your answer.

Hard to draw picture here, I am trying to write it down ...

Let the perpendicular from the plane to ground is x mt from Frida, hence (626-x) from Agentha ...

now the height of plane (i.e. length of the perpendicular) is assumed y ...

Hence, perpendicular / base = tangent of an angle ...

you know the angles and you get two equations from Frida and Agnetha side ... solve them and enjoy

I.... dont' know the answer, but again I'll take the free points. Next time, you should do your own work. It's not good to have to ask others for the answer.

sorry i can't help you.

but you know who can?

your teacher. and if that's not enough, try to find a tutor.

or ask a parent...or call a friend to explain it to you.

whatever works. but what's important is that you GET it so that you can just do it on your own.
