I want a domain for a website what should I consider?

It should be easy to remember and easy to spell. Example Yahoo.com has nothing to do with what the site is about but it is easy to spell and easy to remember. If you aren't going to advertise consider having the name have something to do with your website ex. weather.com

A domian name should be an easy way to get to your website, so it should be, the name of your website

EXAMPLE:

Homestar Runner (Website Name)
www.homestarrunner.com (URL)
Homestar Runner
Toons and games featuring the wacky adventures of Homestar, Strong Bad, and the rest of the gang. (Domain Name)

You'll want to describe what your site is about in the subtitles.

For price, I believe Yahoo! has a cheap domian name service.
About 1.99 a year... (only for first year though) could cost more after that year.

Hopefully this paragraph has been a help.

There are some clever tools around. If you go to enom.com and enter a word, it will suggest some domains that are available. For registration, rack64.com take some beating. They offer free hosting with decent features too without ads.
