A friend and I were debating whether it is normal for women to get a white discharge occasionally and it not be a yeast infection. Is this possible....no smell and an occasional thick discharge=probably normal?

Yes, it is completely normal. Most women probably don't notice because they don't pay attention but you always have vaginal secretions .Some more noticeable than others. They change as your cycle progresses. Sometimes they are thick and gummy , other times thin and runny and other times thick and slippery, kind of like a jelly you can stretch between your fingers. When this happens it is when you would most likely become pregnant because this secretion is meant to nourish the sperm for the long journey ahead.I read about it after i got pregnant. There is a ton of information out there.

Yes and I think it is even more common in the middle of your cycle when you're ovulating
