Boise state doesnt get any respect because they play in the WAC conference, thats a mid-major conference that made one hell of a statement this year going 3-1 in the bowl games. the WAC has proved to be outstanding now and with BOISe state beating a Perennial Powerhouse, They had made a big statement. People still dont think these guyz have wat it takes because of the *** whooping they took to the SEC's Georgia Last year (first game of the season) It was a total blowout and then people realized that these guyz were jus a fluke and didnt stand a chance with the big dogs. But now even though it doesnt seem like it Boise State and the WAC have gotten much more recognition. Sooner or Later they will be able to compete with the top dawgs yearly if they keep up this type of great style of play.

Well, because they are Boise State! Really don't need to say anything more than that! Oh, and that damn blue field, what is up with that?!?!
Actually, they did play a hell of a game and that was a ballsy chance they took going for two! Not everyone doubts them. They had a good year to go along with a good team. They have never been seen as a BCS powerhouse which makes it hard for some people to respect them. Its a real double standard that goes boths way! It's also hard for some to come to grips when a normally excellent team has a crappy season... we still see those teams in the top 10 when they actually should be out of the top 25!

If they put a tough team or two on the schedule, they may get more respect, but they had to go for 2 in OT using a trick play from peewee league just to beat the #8 team(at the time). That hardly warrants national championship consideration. People just keep following ESPN and the media like sheep. Everyone also said that Ohio State would kill Florida. What happened to that?? Boise State would have been demolished, but at least Florida's walk-on players would have got to play in the championship game.

I wish Boise St. was playing for a national championship. They deserved it. That was one helluva game. I don't think they get the respect they deserve because of the conference they play in. But that shouldn't matter. If you're a Division 1 football team, you should have the same chance that any other conference has. I don't think the media gives some of these conferences fair recognition. I think Boise St. had a great season and I hope they have another great one next year just to silence the critics.

Boise State won the title that they deserved. Because really OU sucked! i swear Boise State deserves what they got and that is the Fiesta Bowl title. so don't hate! ~i'm not just saying taht OU sucks because i am a Longhorn fan but really. I think that Boise State is a good football team. and what a way to cap off a win with a proposal of one of the players to his girlfriend. (aww......isn't that cute) but really. Oklahoma didn't step it up and play the game so Boise State won. And i love the blue field

Boise State has been an excellent football team for several years now and they finally got well deserved national exposure with their Fiesta Bowl win. But I agree with earlier comments - their blue field is too weird.

Well in my opinion BSU deserves a Title shot but that is not going to happen. Most of the people complaining say it's there strength of schedule but that is BS. You still have too win the games and most of them were blowouts. I'm not saying BSU would beat florida but we will never know!!! SEC would not want that match-up anyway thoses are the ones complaining. If they are so confident they they should say bring it on!!! Wisconsin (who owns the SEC in Bowl Games)and LSU should be in there also!!!I'll never understand when people put barely won a win is a win!!!

They didn't get lucky. They beat OU fair and square! But, they won't get much respect until they play more quality opponents like OU outside the WAC during the regular season. Until then, look for them to go undefeated, and STILL not wind up with a title shot.

Boise who? Oh is that the cute little team that plays on a blue field against a bunch of glorified D-II schools? Why in the hell SHOULD I respect them?
