A phobia of water can be overcomed only gradually. Most people who are afraid of the water cannot proceed any further unless they are confident enough to put their entire head into the water and blowing bubbles. That should be quite easy as long as she starts off in a depth that she's comfortable with. You can start with just putting the mouth in the water, then the nose, then the eyes and then the entire head. Encouragement and praises are essential. Once she realises it's easier than she thought, the confidence can then develop from there. You can even play games like searching items and picking them up from the pool floor with her hands.

Well if she doesn't like swimming don't force her into it! Now if she wants but is just too scared, then start by getting her into the water knees deep, show her it's fun, make her have fun and don't make her feel it's some serious activity (as i'm sure it is for you... it is for me too)... like kids do... she gotta feel comfortable in water.

i was like your freind too i wouldn't swim at all becouse i didn't like swimming, i didn't go to deep places at all i just Played in the water ,but step by step i went to deeper places, without anyone 's helps
and now i'm the fastest swimmer in my whole family and freinds
firstly , i would say let her to be in 1.60 meter deep pool to notice she shouldn't afraid then as soon as she got use to it she will have tendency to go deeper
