When he was attending law school in Springfield, IL. he roomed with and slept in the same bed with another man for seven years until he eventially met Mary Todd. About 12 years ago some historical collector found some very emotional love letters between Lincoln and this man.

Do you mean Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president? I like to think so. If not, if he was anything less than I imagine--I don't want to know the truth!

Not really. He was a very depressed man. He was also willing to do just about anything to end the civil war long before it ended. In other words, he was open to compromises. No one is really what they appear to be.
