All of California is within less than 100 miles of some earthquake fault.

Keep in mind that earthquakes can be felt *many* hundreds of miles from the epicenter! The New Madrid fault in Missouri slipped in the 1800's, made the Mississippi run backwards and rang churchbells on the East Coast.

I have live in So. Cal. all my life and the nicer the area the more it shakes! If it don't quake there you wouldn't want to live there. Price you gotta pay for living in the land of milk and honey.
