Anthony is okay.. I don't really like Tino though, I prefer the nicknames Anth or Tony. :-)

I like Anthony. It means praiseworthy or inestimable (too great to be properly measured).

Now Tino sounds like a nickname.

Anthony is a nice strong name. Why pick out a nickname? I'm not sure I understand the concept of naming your child one name then calling them another. My daughter's name is Victoria, we call her Victoria, not Vickie or Tory. If I wanted people to call her one of those names I should have named her one of those names instead of Victoria. My husbands name is David. We call him David, not Dave or Davey. Just my opinion of course. I know people won't agree but it's something to think about. Either way, Good Luck to you!

I like Anthony, but would prefer it as a middle name. As a first name, shortened to Tony or Anton.
