NO! I have had two children since I started smoking. If you do not want to get pregnant, see your doctor about birth control. There are lots of options now, your doctor can help you decide which is best for you.

Smoking only helps in preventing pregnancy if you're smoking instead of having sex, which btw -- I don't recommend. The only 100% effective method of birth control is not having sex. After that, there are many birth control options out there. For maximum protection, use multiple ones at the same time-- for example use the pill, condoms, spermicide, and a cervical cap. Your chances of getting pregnant with all of those is very, very slim. That's what my mom told me to do after I get married. (I'm a virgin now and until then...)

I agree with Ed! LOL! That's about the only way smoking would decrease the possibility.

Abstinence is the only true form of birth control. Definently not smoking..... Smoking causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema And may COMPLICATE PREGNANCY. It is in no way shape or form going to decrease your chances of getting pregnant.

I don't know about smoking.. all I know is that you shouldn't do it while you're pregnant.

Do you want to get pregnant? I can't tell. Obviously using contraceptives (hormonal and non-hormonal) and abstaining will decrease your chances of getting pregnant, but if you're concerned as to why you're not getting pregnant, have yourself examined by an OB/GYN to find out the real causes. Good luck.
