the simplest gas laws relate to pressure, volume, and temperature. the pressure and volume of a gas are inversely proportional to one another. pv= k , k is a constant of proportionality. v=kt. this expression is only true if the temperature is measured on an absolute scale. pv=kt

charles' law: V1/T1=V2/T2 or V1T2/T1=V2

gay-lussac's law: P1/T1=P2/T2

combined gas law: P1V1T2/P2T1=V2
