I thought that it was loosely established that the universe is a toroid (donut shape) ... ie if you travel in a 'straight' line in any direction you will eventually end up back at your origin....

Oh.. HA.. this is in mathematics, I get it now, you're funny in such a nerdy way... heck, why can't the universe be amoeba shaped... wouldn't that be ironic!
