not sure where you got the square thing but it most certainly isnt square. in fact just this year the Poincairne Conjecture was proved, which i'm not going to go into detail about, which should allow a fairly accurate calculation of the shape of the universe. Aside from shape, the distribution of matter throughout the universe is uneven as well, with matter lumping in certain areas. If you heard the phrase "three dimensional universe" and inferred that meant that its shaped like a cube thats wrong. three dimensional universe refers to up, down, left, right, backward, forward. its a perspective not the shape. furthermore in physics we live in a 4 dimensional world, not 3...up, down, left, right, forward, backward, and time...

Um, I don't care what the website says, because the Universe doesn't have a shape! It goes out in all directions infinitely. It hard to imagine, but easy to accept, isn't it? I mean, if there WAS an edge of the Universe, what would be there? A wall? C'mon! Just colorless, empty space.
