If he's LOOKING for that information-"yes" he can probably tell, but in a routine Pap exam, "no" he's not gonna be like, "Soooo ya little skank, ya had an abortion, eh?" NOT EVEN!!!! (i'm not saying you're a skank, just making a point! =)

It depends how soon but I'm thinking they can't tell just by a papsmear. But why would you want to hide that because you should be truthful for his and your sake.

It's important for your doctor to know if you have had an abortion, it will help them diagnose any problems if they know what has been going on down there

I dont think so. That should be something that you want your doctor to know, in case anything in that area goes wrong. It's part of your medical history & they SHOULD NOT judge you for it.

They probably can because your cervix might show signs of being dilated. Even so most gynaecologists are very professional and would never mention it unless you mentioned it first.
