I currently use a tethered wrap around headset with a mic boom. I need something I can throw in my bag with my MacBook Pro, but don't want the tangled mess of all the wires my current headset gives me. Primary use will be Skype.

I tried using one of those cell phone wireless headsets on my mac... it doesn't support the wireless protocol for headsets. I use a bluetooth dongle addon for my mac.

But with the built-in bluetooth, your luck may be different.... get one, try it out, and return it if it doesn't work. make sure they accept returns!

Hi Chad A,

You need to look at the documentation that came with your headset and find out if the device is Mac OS X compatible. It should say whether it is or not. Sometimes it will say what the minimum hardware and software requirements are for your device. If the Mac isn't mentioned then there is no support for the Macintosh platform.

You might be able to find more information at the device's web site. You didn't say which that is, so I can't point you. Just Google it. I'm not sure if you can recognize this device using the

I usually listen in on earbuds and use the built-in microphone. The sound from games and iTunes comes out a lot better on the earbuds. I bet that Skype will come through a lot better with this method. I understand the whole tangled mess stuff, but they are so cheap and easy to replace, it's worth it.

Best of luck to you.
