when playing yahoo pool is there a way to find a certain player by using id with out searching every room?

No there isn't any way...
but if
- the player you are searching for is a contact in your Y! messenger list and
- he/she is connected to a particular room and
- he/she has allowed his/her status to be viewed

then you can simply join that particular room by clicking on the link in front of that person's ID.
Otherwise there is no other way to do it...
