FAX is sent via a PHONE line == look for a Phone socket on the 'All in one'.

If there is no phone socket, then it can't REALLY send & recieve FAX's - instead you will have to do this via your PC !

To use the PC for FAX'ing you need a Modem (before we had ADSL Broadband, everyone used a Modem to 'dial up' their ISP via the normal phone lines).

If there is no socket on the Lexmark and you don't have a Modem, I suggest contact Lexmark & tell them there is a 'part missing'. When they ask 'what part ?' tell them it's the Modem needed for FAX'ing = will they send you one ?... (or are they guilty of false advertising ?)

The best place to check is the instruction manual that came inside the box.

Failing that, the lexmark website - obviously!

Dont bypass purchase something, you may bypass to the Lexmark internet site and get carry of the utility and the driving force on your printer for loose. I purely had to do it with my hp printer and scanner, it purely took like 5 min. to do, its surprisingly common.
