Since laws differ fromstate to state for the same crime across America you cannot lump American lawi nto a single system. The law is generally fair to the extent it can be...it is the people who execute the law who tend not to be...look at how different people get different sentences for the same crime even within the same jurisdiction...

Its not "fair" because money can buy more and better attorneys along with lots of appeals. Justice should be blind and fair but that would require the elimination of human involvement.

However, its one of the best systems in existance in this world.

No, many innocent people are caught up in the system because state provided attorneys could care less about proving their innocence. If you have money to pay high priced lawyers maybe it works.

Toooooooo fair in most cases. Takes years for criminals to actually be prosecuted. Other countries are much more harsh and unforgiving.
