When I left the retirement community in NJ I used to landscape at 2 years ago, we had a HUGE infestation taking hold.. We tried hosing down the trees with numerous pesticides, no luck. Finally we gave up and started cutting 'em down. From everything I've read, the best treatment is removal of the infected trees followed by burning them. Some places in New York City won't even let you remove the branches in a truck due to the risk of spreading the infestation.
