I just reset up my computer. When I turn it on the screen looks small. There is a black border around the screen. How can I fix it so the picture fills the entire computer monitor screen?

Chances are the screen is just running at some odd resolution. Move your mouse to an empty area of the desktop, right-click to bring up the display properties menu, then choose the settings tab. There should be a slider for screen resolution, try different settings there and see if that does the trick (especially for a notebook or laptop) For dekstops with a seperate monitor, try the auto-adjust button first.

OK well most computer monitors have some sort of monitor adjustment on the screen itself. If that is the case what you need to do is across through the settings and look for the vertical and horizontal stretch settings and just re size your settings.

You can also right click on your desktop, click on properties, click on settings, click on advanced, and click on monitor tab above if you have this. You can scroll through the tabs and find a way to adjust your monitor.

I hope this helped you out.

Often there are buttons on the front of your monitor that allow you to change the size both left to right and up and down. Hope this helps.

Press the "Auto" button on the front of your monitor. Bingo!

If you've got a really old monitor, then you'll have to adjust it by hand.

Check your monitor manual for more information.

Go to a local retailer ... hand over a few bucks or a credit card ... and they'll exchange what you give them for a new monitor They not very often worth fixing ... buy a new one
