Good question. It seeed to me the point of the movie was not so much that his life was wonderful but that everyone else had a better life because he had a ho hum existence. Without him, their lives stunk. With hi they were so much better off. But without them, he was no better or worse off. At least the movie doesn't show him that. All he knows is that he gives up all he has which isn't much but it is more than what he is left with. I guess it is all in how you see it. I just don't think it proves its point.

A person never realizes what they have until they dont have it anymore. He got to see what life would be like had he never existed.A favorite part of this movie for me was when George saw his brother had died at age 7 and he told Clarence,he didnt die he was a war hero and saved a whole transport full of soldiers and Clarence told him he didnt they all died because Harry wasnt there to save them because you wasnt there to save Harry.

He had a great family and gobs of friends who loved and respected him. I would say anyone who has these things has a "wonderful life".
