Do you believe that there is no real human being inside a woman's belly? Why do most girls decide to have an abortion? Why not just give up the baby to a loving adopting family, or better yet, not make a bad decision in the first place to cause an unwanted pregnancy?

Sugar as long as there are people in this world that do things that are morally wrong, there will be people that will make laws that make it ok for them to do it. By this means they feel that they are now left without the sin of murder.

I could sit here all day and give you points why abortion is wrong, but basically, when conception happens, which I may add is a truly amazing process, and when the cells begin to develop, a life has begun, period, you have no right to destroy that process... its a creation of between a man and a woman, a process made possible by God.

Congrats to you for your morals.

EDIT #1 - EDIT #1 - well it seems as thought everyone who is pro-life got thumbs down... amazing. I guess I don't mind the thumbs down, I am still pro-life... a fetus is a baby.. not a cluster of cells... we are all clusters of cells, THAT is what makes us a living, breathing human, can we abort you PINWHEELBANDIT?

Or why not give out birth control and teach proper condom use instead of the "No sex until marriage" standard?
We could eliminate or reduce the number of teen pregnancies this way. Also, there should be a detailed course in the exact consequences, costs and physical work put into having a baby. Everyone should have to learn it during sex ed.
And while we are at it, there is a huge stigma against unwed mothers. A woman who is supporting herself alone can't stop working long enough to give the baby up for adoption. Yes, she should have used protection and birth control, but she can't lose her home and her job and go through the medical expenses of having a child. You'd have a woman punished that harshly just to put another unwanted child into fostercare? When the people who advocate life start taking in the children they demand be allowed to be born, then I'll reconsider. But the number of kids in fostercare is up, and the number of homes available is down. To put yet another life in the system takes much needed resources from one already there. The system is already so twisted, I'm sure you've seen the cases on the news of children who have died at the hands of foster parents. The more kids, the more desparate the agency gets and the more likely they are to turn a blind eye or just be so understaffed that they can't investigate all claims properly. Unfourtunatly this isn't an easy issue, but I hope my view may have given you a look into the issue of what happens to that child all the pro life people fight for. Once they are here in the world, the pro-life people move on to continue protesting. That child has to go through the system, maybe even live its whole life in a group home or juvenile center due to lack of housing, to be passed out of the system at 18 with little or no skills and a highschool education. Not every baby has a home waiting for it, like the "give it up to a loving family" line of thinking suggests.

Not all abortions are to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy.
You cant always give the baby up for adoption. Some women have abortions as the baby has many medical problems and wont survive the birth. Some women will themselves die if they carry the baby to term. Would you give birth to a baby that was the product of rape?
You cant really judge everyone, as you dont know the reasons behind each abortion. And not everyone could handle giving birth to a child and then giving it away.
Both come with emotional, mental and physical problems.
So leave the poor women alone and think of something better to do with your time.

The point of abortion is to not be pregnant. I don't believe that most girls have abortions. The ones that do do it because a baby or the pregnancy its self is not right for her life at that point. Giving a baby up is VERY difficult and can be more difficult then abortion. Besides, why sentence someone to 9 difficult months and labour, that's cruel and usual. Also, if "loving couples" really want to adopt, there are lots in other countries literally dieing for the chance to be taken care of. If they are so loving and accepting, go get a baby or child that is already alive and prevent its hideous death or hunger and disease.

Pregnancy can be difficult to prevent and abstinence is not very realistic, it often results in unhappy marriage and getting married to soon.

Perhaps you should be concerned more with your OWN sins then those of others. Who are you to force your beliefs on other people? Would you strip the world of all other religions and ethnicities too since they think different then you? Don't spend so much time looking down your righteous nose.

Well, first where do you get the idea that "most girls" have abortions? There are different circumstances for different people. Sometimes girls are careless and end up pregnant because they had unprotected sex. Sometimes the parents don't want the girl to have the child and make her get an abortion. Sometimes the girl is afraid of what her parents will do if they find out she is pregnant so she has the abortion in secret. Sometimes it isn't from being careless--a friend of mine was raped as a teenager and found out she was pregnant. The trauma from the rape was so horrible she had an abortion. The thought of having to carry the child from a man who brutally beat and raped her was too much for her to handle.

I always live by the credo that one cannot judge the actions of another until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Women who have abortions have to live with the consequences of their actions. Who am I to condemn them? That isn't my place.

better yet, not make a bad decision in the first place to cause an unwanted pregnancy is the best answer but this deosn't always happen.

The main theme is it's every womans right to choose for herself and it does not concern you or me. That is a basic right of every woman.
The point of abortion is of course to rid yourself of an unwanted birth. there could be several reasons.
It could be the result of rape
it could be the result of incest
it could be the result of affairs outside of your marriage which oculd break up two families.
It could be the result of birth control not working
It could be the result of carelessness
It could be juse because the woman in question does not want to carry a baby full term or accept the obligations afterwards and that is her right.
It could be the result of a useless husband or lover who would offer no support for the child.
Abortion is regardless of wha tyou thinkg every womans right and only your body concerns you.
No one died and made you the keeper of morals for everyone else.

Because they want to get rid of it permanently I suppose. They don't want the guilt of adopting a child out and then 20 years later when they are married to someone else and have kids of their own, the first one looks them up and wants to meet them.
I think a lot of abortions would be teen girls that get themselves in trouble and then don't know how to fix it without their parents finding out.
I remember a friend when we were 15 being pregnant (she was on the pill) and she had an abortion and at the time I was so scared for her and probably would have done the same thing.
It's easy to sit back now (older and wiser) and judge. At that age you don't know what to do.

I would say they do realise there is a baby in there and the reason some (not most though - thats a bit of a generalisation) decide to have an abortion is because they aren't ready to take care of that baby - THATS the point of abortion. Whether you agree or not is irrelevant - its not your decision to make - its theirs.

I agree. I used to be pro choice until I had a child and was amazed at the growth rate the fetus goes through.

I don't feel women have an abortion know how developed their fetus is. If they knew it had a head and start of a spinal cord after 10 days from conception, would they still abort??
