I am 40 weeks pregnant and I think I am having contractions ranging from 10-20 min apart. They start in my lower stomach and go around to my back. Last one I had I was actually peeing, but it seems if I am resting I don't have them that regularly, but if i'm standing, walking, or sitting I feel them more, and when I move they don't go away. Could they just be braxton hicks

First thing....empty your bladder as much as possible, because having a full one slows down contractions. If you are moving and they don't go away, do the opposite, lay on your left side and drink some water. If they don't go away within an hour call your doctor and ask what you should do....or if you would rather, just go to the hospitol. Millions of pregnant women go to the hospitol just to make sure what these contractions are...if they are true labor, you are at the right place, if not...you won't worry about it after seeing a doctor!!!
Good luck and CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. If they look to be common, you will have to relaxation and drink a few water. The extra hydrated you're the fewer you are going to have them. If you had been in early hard work, the contractions would not stop, they might simply hold getting more potent. As a long way as the release, so long as there's no smell or some thing, it is ordinary. Your frame raises vaginal discharge in education for supply, it is going to occur via the relaxation of your being pregnant. The diarrhea used to be regularly anything you ate.

If you have had these for about 2-3 hours straight, not letting up, go to the hospital. The "peeing" could be your water starting to rupture. Or if they get closer together, go. Any other questions call your doctor. Lay on your left side and see what the contractions do. 40 weeks is the due date. let me know how it goes.

the difference between Braxton hicks and regular contractions is with regular contractions, there is a set pattern to them. So if you notice they are lasting about 1 minute each at regular intervals, those are contractions. Braxton Hicks are irregular.

At 40 weeks, chances are it's contractions.

Congrats and good luck!

Well I never had a baby, but they might be false labor contractions or something. But to be on the safe side I would go to the hospital, or call them.

If they keep coming and are constant for the next 1/2 hour, call your doctor. I say you're going into labor! Good for you! You can do it!

Call your doctor and ask him if he wants you to come in. You might be in the early stages of labor.
