NO, my daughter was forming there, and I took every chance I got to touch. the touch you miss is never returning, and soon your child will be born and no way can you go back in time.
she was born 2.5 years ago, and I held her as she entered the world as well, and cut the cord. it meant everything to me to be there for her from the time I first found out she was alive.
I do now all about not showing feelings, but my child was more important than my image.
As a male, it is time others got over that bravado macho crap and started loving the truly precious things in life. my daughter is my best excuse to be fun again.

if they want to feel the baby kicking they will touch the belly. Guys do not show their excitement like girls will. My wife hates it and says that i dont care about the baby. But as you get further along he will be more excited. The way i see it is i cant get excited over something that is not there for me to play with. the woman has more of an attachment because it is part of her.

I would think it would be great to get to do so....it would be wonderful to get to touch a pregnant belly with life in it....but then I guess that is to be expected of a great grandpa who hasn't gotten to do so for many many many years.....Life is beautiful even when it is doing a little kicking in the oven....

I have never asked my husband to touch my belly. He usually just goes for it himself. Maybe he's just a really happy daddy :)
