You can go now. By four months your scar should be well healed, just make sure your abdomial muscles are not still separated before doing any ab work. You know your body better than even you doc; you know what feels right, what is just soreness and when something is wrong. If you're concerned though you should check with your OB first. I had two c-sections 18 months apart. Now mind you, I was in pretty good shape to begin with, and I still did moderate exercise while I was pregnant. But I did gain about 70 lbs each time, so I had A LOT to work off. Here's what I did and maybe it'll help: After the first one I started walking when he was 3 weeks old, just small 1-2 mile walks through the neighborhood with him 5-6 days a week. At six weeks I started running/walking 4-5 days a week and lifting weights 3 days. From there I just kept adding running. I also do a lot at home if I can't get to the gym. All different kinds of push up, lunges, etc to work on toning. By the time I found out I was prego again (my first was 10 months old) I was back in a size 6. Everything went faster after my daughter was born because I had way less surgical pain. She's 8 months old now and I'm smaller and in better shape than I've ever been! I have never had a problem with my scar, but I do get sore sometimes because those ab muscles are still so weak.

I consider all of it depends upon you frame variety and genes. Everyone in my household is particularly tall and clearly narrow. I did not begin displaying until I was once practically five months and my stomach stayed little the relaxation of my being pregnant till approximately two weeks earlier than I had her! My stomach shot out and I felt like a hippo! Still everybody concept she was once going to be a tiny child. My pal who had a child the following yr began displaying after three months and simply saved developing! Her household are all very quick and petite however placed weight on lovely comfortably. We all concept she was once going to have a BIG child however hers was once smaller than mine whilst she was once born! Every being pregnant is thoroughly distinct however I consider on natural it is across the third and 4th month that you simply begin displaying.

its going to take awhile for your c-section wound to heal before you EVEN begin to exercise again. being busy with a household, new baby, husband etc is enough exercise for anyone. perhaps the dr. will ok for you to roll on one of those big exercise balls (VERY GENTLY,OF COURSE) best of luck!
p.s. i know all this because dear i have had 3 c-sections.

The best place to find the answer to your question is from the Doctor.

You have to ask the doc that, not here, congrats on the "Hollywood" (c-sect) I was one, my son was one, I'm sure there will be more too.
